Specific treatments provided to patients are individualized to their presenting condition. The type of treatment recommended will depend on your specific diagnosis, your mechanism of injury, and how much pain you are in at the time of your visit.
A treatment approach used for one patient may be very different for another patient. We are also sensitive to the fact that sometimes first time patients of chiropractic care may be nervous or hesitant. We go out of our way to make sure that you feel safe and comfortable during any visit in our office.
Treatment provided by our doctors may include one or a combination of the following therapies: Cox Flexion-Distraction, Chiropractic adjustment (spinal or extremity manipulation), Active Release Techniques (ART), or Home Stretches or Exercise. Any treatment is always discussed with the patient prior to its application.
Based on your condition and our history and examination findings a treatment plan will be recommended which will include the number of estimated treatments that you will require to treat your specific problem. In addition to in-office treatment you will also be sent home with instructions on how to manage your complaint on your own, including advice to improve symptoms and healing. This may include directions on using ice or heat, specific stretches or exercises to do or activities that you should avoid so as not to aggravate the problem.
